Creating roleplays

A roleplay is the structured scenario a learner steps into. It combines your persona with a specific situation, context, and rules for the conversation.

  1. Select Roleplays in the sidebar, then Create Roleplay.

  2. Enter a clear name — e.g. “Cold Call — IT Director, FinTech”.

  3. Write a description the learner sees, explaining what the scenario is about.

  4. Write the context — shown only to the AI. Set the scene in detail: the meeting type, the character’s background, what happened before this conversation, and the learner’s objective.

  5. Select the persona to use.

  6. Set the maximum duration in minutes.

  7. Optionally write an opening message — the first thing the AI says.

  8. Tag skills, industry, and job role.

  9. Set visibility to Public or Private, then Save and Publish.

You don’t have to write the scenario from scratch:

  1. On the Create Roleplay form, select Generate with AI.
  2. Type a 2–3 sentence brief. Example: “A 15-minute discovery call where an Account Executive speaks with a VP of Operations at a logistics firm. The prospect has heard of the product but it isn’t a priority. The AE needs to create urgency and book a demo.”
  3. The AI fills in the roleplay name, context, learner objective, and opening message.
  4. Review and edit, attach a persona, add tags, and publish.

From the Roleplays list, select any roleplay to open its detail page, then Edit any field. You can also open all session reports for that roleplay from this page.

  • Keep each roleplay focused on one objective (a cold call, a discovery call, a negotiation moment).
  • Build a series at increasing difficulty within a learning space.
  • Update the context regularly to reflect the real scenarios your team faces.
