ai-functions/images/edzrise-index-1.pngBuilding modern, interactive e-learning usually means a separate tool like Articulate Rise 360 — extra licences, exports, and content that lives outside your LMS where progress is hard to see.
EDZ Rise is an interactive, block-based lesson activity built right into Moodle. A single activity holds a document of paginated lessons made of content and interactive blocks — authored in a visual editor (or generated with AI) and tracked per learner, all in-platform.

Build lessons from content blocks (headings, text, images, video, accordions, tabs, timelines…) and interactive blocks, arranged into sections with a cover page and theme.
Interactive checks
Inline knowledge checks (CFU), multi-question graded quizzes, and 3D-flip flashcards let learners practise and be assessed inside the lesson.
AI generation
With the AI Course Builder installed, generate a whole lesson in one click, or generate text, images, infographics, audio, and video from inside the editor.
Built-in progress report
A per-learner report shows progress, knowledge checks passed, average video watch, gradebook grade, and status — sortable and exportable to CSV.
Authors and teachers
Learners
Work through the lesson page by page using the sectioned table of contents with progress rings; answer the activities and checks inline; and let EDZ Rise track your progress and resume where you left off across devices.
Authoring
A document is organised into lessons grouped into sections. You can add, rename, delete, and reorder lessons; set a cover page and a theme (accent colour and font); and give each block design options — width, alignment, padding, background, and animation. Any block can be saved to a shared template library for reuse, and the whole document is available as editable JSON as an advanced fallback (validated on save).
Blocks
Content blocks display information (headings, text, callouts, images, galleries, video, audio, accordions, tabs, timelines, buttons, click-to-reveal, flip cards, and continue-gates). Interactive blocks are tracked and can count toward the grade: Check For Understanding, multi-question Quiz (single-choice, multiple-response, matching, fill-in), and Flashcards.
Grading and completion
Set a maximum grade (or leave ungraded). Only CFU and quiz blocks count; the grade is the proportion of correct items and flows to the Moodle gradebook. Beyond Moodle’s standard rules, EDZ Rise adds two custom completion conditions: pass all knowledge checks, and watch every video to a set percentage (default 80%).
Yes — EDZ Rise requires the EDZ Blocks component on your site. AI generation and video tools are available only when the AI Course Builder is also installed and enabled. Your administrator manages both.
Yes. With the AI Course Builder installed you can generate a complete lesson in one click and then refine it, or use AI inside the editor for text, images, infographics, audio, and video.
Only CFU and quiz blocks. The grade is the number of correct knowledge-checks and quiz questions divided by the total gradable items, times your maximum grade, sent to the Moodle gradebook.
A lesson is viewed when opened and complete once viewed and all its graded items are answered correctly. Activity completion can also require passing all knowledge checks and watching every video to a set percentage.
Yes. Progress is saved on the server, so reopening the activity returns learners to the most recently viewed lesson on any device.
