Interactive content filter — screenshot pending
lms/images/edzinteractive-index-1.pngYou want interactive knowledge checks and flashcards inside ordinary Moodle content — pages, labels, book chapters, forum posts — but embedded widgets are fragile, often breaking or getting stripped out when content is edited and saved.
The interactive content filter stores each widget’s definition on the server and drops a short text token into the content. On display it swaps that token for the live widget — so widgets render anywhere Moodle shows formatted content and survive editing intact.

Survives editing
The widget definition lives on the server, never in the page HTML, so it stays intact through re-editing and saving.

How it works
When an author inserts a widget, its definition is saved on the server and a short plain-text token is placed in the content. On display, the filter swaps that token for the live, interactive widget. Because the definition is never stored in the page HTML itself, it survives editing and saving intact.
By default, editing teachers and managers can create widgets; adjust via roles if you need to. This filter is part of the same interactive system as Interactive blocks and EDZ Rise.
